science + technologies = cool!

first class.. after some confusion were sorted out, class were as usual. our lecturer Dr. Rohaida briefed us on the overall layout of this course for the semester: topics to be discussed and the assignments that is to be done.

More or less, this semester science subject will not be focusing on the theory of relativity or explosion caused by mixing two different chemical substances, but more on the technological side of science.

The first lecture given by Dr.Rohaida is on the integration of technology in science. Science and technology have been walking side by side for a long time, thus can't be parted. After the lecture, it is clear that the integration of technology in teaching science is important as it can motivates the pupils to learn.

We were then assigned in groups and given each an early technology tools in education and then present it in the form of powerpoint presentation to the class.

OHP, Visualizer, Television, and the video players were the earlier technology used in education. For instance, the TV education is a method use to integrate technology in education as the pupils could enhance their understanding of certain topics that had been taught in the classroom by switching on the television.

Overall, science is going to get a lot more fun when teachers are equipped with the right technological skills!

Until next time, see ya!
